You do not have a valid Indian driver’s license, that your vehicle insurance is invalid. It's easy to obtain a license but you will need to attend with your international drivers license and complete the formal documentation including producing proof of residency in India. Having paid the fee the proper procedure is to have a learner’s license followed by a full driver’s license. Depending upon the international license, it may be possible to avoid this delay. Licenses are obtained from your local road traffic office (RTO). There are a number around the city and one of the largest is at the edge of Indiranagar. Contact your local police station to confirm which RTO office is appropriate to your location as they will also be asked to confirm your address. It is at your own risk and you will be approached by many, but it is also possible to use an agent to obtain a license on your behalf and if doing so, be aware that the 'going rate' is approximately 2500/-; for this amount you should be able to obtain your 4 wheeler manual gear license which should also clearly include your 2 wheeler (gear & non gear) motor cycle license too.
