Bangalore is a city that seldom delivers on its promises. This is particularly true in the service sector. So it is a huge relief when one comes across a service provider who isn't just good - but impeccable.

We used the services of Handiman Services to do some minor but critical carpentry work in our home today. It was a perfect experience. A carpenter arrived within an hour to examine the problem. An hour later they called to explain what they thought was the best solution (it was) and how they recommended it be accomplished. Also a breakdown of the likely cost heads.

Two hours later they called to provide an item by item breakdown of the actual costs - and their charges. After some discussion and amendments by me, we arrived at a final cost and plan of action.The next morning (today) two carpenters arrived, at exactly 9.00 am as agreed, with all the tools and the wood and fevicol and sand paper and nuts and bolts and saws and and and.Three hours later the job was done. Perfectly. I paid them by cheque, they handed over the receipt, and that was that.

The best experience we've had with a service provider in Bangalore since getting here 15 years ago. They undertake electricals, carpentry, painting, plumbing etc. Even have an annual contract arrangement that, at 1999/- per year, is cheap at the price for those whose residential complexes don't have such services in-house.
